Mrs. Sharon Bourdeau

Hi!  My name is Sharon Allers.  I have been teaching since 1992, and it is the one thing that I always wanted to do - even when I was a little girl back in Kindergarten!  I love my job, and have many wonderful memories of all the students in all the towns that I have taught in since then as I moved all over the province teaching in different places.  I have taught all grade levels, substitute taught a little bit, and now find myself quite at home and happy here in Evansburg.  I live in Stony Plain, and have been teaching at Evansview since 2012. 

I have three daughters.  Two are done school and have moved on to University, and one is still in school for a few years yet.  My home is a busy place with all of them, and their friends, constantly working, studying, and having friends over.  Our dining room becomes the local hangout for Dungeons and Dragons frequently too!

I also have a small zoo at my house with 4 cats, a tortoise, a rabbit and even a fish tank. I love to cuddle with them (except the box turtle - he is my middle daughter's pet!), and spend time looking after them too.  We also love to go camping, and I am a bit of a movie fan.  My favourites are the Star Trek movies, Star Wars, all the Marvel movies and Fast and Furious too.  I listen to country music, read, and love to make cards as well.  My latest favourite hobby is Paint Nite with friends.  I have figured out that painting is not quite so scary, and I am not terrible at it either!  Relax time with my family and friends is my favourite thing to do. 

My biggest message to my students is always TRY and always DO YOUR BEST!  So long as everyone does that, we can achieve anything, we can be proud of ourselves, and others will be proud of us too.  We also might even get to have a ton of fun along the way!
