About

A caring community of learners working together to achieve new heights with an emphasis on Language Arts.

Introduction

Evansview School has classes from Kindergarten to Grade Six. Our Kindergarten program also offers an extended 4-day-a-week schedule. We are nestled down the street from Grand Trunk High School. Students are able to participate in many different activities such as Intramurals, Peacekeepers, and AMA Crossing Guards.

At the start of each year, students are placed into one of the Houses of Evansview with the help of the choosing hat. Over the course of the year, students get an opportunity to participate in a variety of house activites ranging from food bank drives, to making one house member look like a snowman, to fun relay races. As the houses reach goals, there are rewards for the members ranging from toboganning to bingo.

Throughout the year students can be involved in different theme days like Pajama Day, Wacky Hair Day, Winter Carnival, Art Fair, and Track meet. We also have an active Parent Council that makes it possible for us to get in-house field trips, such as Science in Motion. In addition, all classes have an opportunity to go on one out-of-town field trip a year as well as swimming at the Entwistle pool.

We have a dedicated staff that cares deeply about the students who attend our school and work to ensure that our students are performing to the best of their abilities. If you are moving to Evansburg and area, we invite you to come and visit. We would be glad to give you a tour and answer any questions you may have.
